Tuesday Tidbits 11/29/11

In yet another edition of your Tuesday Tidbits we hope your holiday weekend was great and the turducken was moist. This week we put another feather in the cap of Mike Williams. The former Orange wideout grabbed 6 balls for 84 yards and a touchdown to become our star of the week this week. Tanard Jackson had 4 tackles for the Buccaneers in their 23-17 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Former Syracuse standouts Anthony Smith and Adam Terry did not make any significant contribution for the Titans. Here is a recap of the rest of the week's action:

Ravens 16 49ers 6

The Ravens had nine sacks in the game, but none of them were by Arthur Jones who sat out the game with a head injury. Jameel McClain tallied 3 stops for the Ravens.

Cowboys 20 Dolphins 19

Will Allen played in this one and was unable to make a tackle. Tony Fiammetta sat out again for the Cowboys with an undisclosed illness.

Broncos 16 Chargers 13

Steve Gregory had 3 tackles for the falling ever so fast Chargers.

Panthers 27 Colts 19

Olindo Mare had another solid game kicking for the Panthers. He drilled 2 field goals and made 3 extra points. One field goal attempt was blocked. For the Colts Quinn Ojinnaka did not play. Dwight Freeney did and recorded a sack which leaves him just a half sack away from 100 career. At halftime in this one Marvin Harrison was inducted into the Colts' Ring of Honor.

Falcons 24 Vikings 14

Donovan McNabb was the backup quarterback, but did not play.
