Head Coach Jim Boeheim has announced that Gerry McNamara will take the place of Bernie Fine on the team's coaching staff while the abuse allegations of Fine are investigated. McNamara joined the staff over the summer as a graduate assistant for the men's basketball program.McNamara was the starting point guard for the 2004 National Championship team. He was named to the all-tournament team that year as well. In 2006 McNamara took over the Big East tournament as he led the Orange to the title and was named MVP. It will be great to see one of the greatest players in Orange history back on the bench.
