It has been reported by various media outlets that Syracuse University has fired Bernie Fine amid child abuse allegations. It has been reported that the chancellor of the university made the decision this afternoon. ESPN.com tried to contact Jim Boeheim, but his wife was the only one talking saying, "Jim is not talking right now". Coach Boeheim has been a supporter of Fine since day one. The only bright spot that may come out of this is a possible permanent position for former player Gerry McNamara.
