Check Out Hakim Warrick and the Suns Take On the Nuggets

Hakim Warrick will enters his 2nd season with the Suns as they play their final preseason tonight as they take on the Denver Nuggets. The former Syracuse star scored 14 points off the bench in their 110-127 loss on Tuesday to the Nuggets. He also chipped in 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
Warrick disappointed in his first season with the Suns backing up Channing Frye. Warrick averaged 8 points and 3 rebounds in 17 minutes per game off the bench last season.
Last year, Warrick showed glimpses of being Amare Stoudemire's replacement early, but defensive and rebounding deficiencies relegated him to a lesser role. Over the summer, Warrick worked on his outside shot in hopes of being used at the SF spot.
“I think Hakim’s going to be a lot better, he’s had a great camp,” said Grant Hill. “I think he’s more comfortable here. I think the coaches are more comfortable with him. Josh I think will be a lot better also.”

The two teams play at 9:00 ET tonight in Phoenix.

Tuesday Tidbits 12/13/11

The man you see above had a monster week this week and made all of us Syracuse fans proud. Steve Gregory led the Chargers in tackles and even had a pick six. In the third quarter Gregory intercepted a Ryan Fitzpatrick pass and took it 26 yards for a touchdown. He was a monster all game long in the secondary and is the Syracuse Pros player of the week. Here is how the rest of your favorite Syracuse Alumni did:
Ravens 24 Colts 10
Delone Carter had 5 carries but had just 6 yards rushing for the winless Colts. Dwight Freeney had what may be his best game of the season sacking Joe Flacco twice. For the Ravens Jameel McClain led the team in tackles with 6 and Arthur Jones recorded one tackle for the playoff bound Ravens.
Falcons 31 Panthers 23
Olindo Mare missed another field goal near the end of regulation that would have put the Panthers in the lead. He was able to nail all three extra points. Mare's second crucial miss resulted in the Panthers this week signing another kicker for some possible competition.
Jaguars 41 Bucs 14
Mike Williams caught 3 passes for a total of 35 yards for the struggling Tampa Bay team.
Eagles 26 Dolphins 10
Will Allen had 2 tackles for the Dolphins.
Giants 37 Cowboys 34
Tony Fiammetta made his return as the lead blocking back for the Cowboys. He caught one pass for 10 yards and rushed 2 times for 3 yards. He also paved the way for 139 rushing yards for Dallas.
