Warrick disappointed in his first season with the Suns backing up Channing Frye. Warrick averaged 8 points and 3 rebounds in 17 minutes per game off the bench last season.
Last year, Warrick showed glimpses of being Amare Stoudemire's replacement early, but defensive and rebounding deficiencies relegated him to a lesser role. Over the summer, Warrick worked on his outside shot in hopes of being used at the SF spot.
“I think Hakim’s going to be a lot better, he’s had a great camp,” said Grant Hill. “I think he’s more comfortable here. I think the coaches are more comfortable with him. Josh I think will be a lot better also.”The two teams play at 9:00 ET tonight in Phoenix.
